April 2017 sees the return of the popular annual Sudbury Open Gardens event!
The event features a wide range of gardens around the town, open for public viewing. In aid of St Nicholas Hospice Care, with contribution to Eden Rose Coppice Trust, all proceeds go to very worthy causes! The event itself is also a wonderful day out for adults and children alike. Come along for natural and cultured beauty, plant sales, bric-a-brac, cream teas, sausages and a free glass of wine.
Sudbury Open Gardens: About Our Beneficiaries
St Nicholas Hospice Care provides professional support and clinical care for people living with life-shortening illnesses. Through their highly trained and dedicated team of staff and volunteers, their aim is to improve the quality of lives for patients and families, whether in the Hospice or in their own homes. They work with other healthcare professionals in the community to offer a support service when people need them most.
Like with every aspect of hospice life, they are always looking to go that extra mile for their patients and their families. A small gesture, above and beyond typical duties, can make a massive difference. St Nicholas Hospice Care realises that it’s the small things that are the important things. And nothing is too much trouble.
St Nicholas Hospice has been serving our community for more than 30 years and it continues to be an integral part of our lives. The Hospice needs over £11,000 per day to provide the service for which they are well known. We rely on people like you to help us to raise this money, therefore ensuring the continuity of our care.
Such restorative environments are in short supply in many urban areas, if non-existent. They are very proud of the Sudbury woodlands. Working in conjunction with hospitals and care homes, they are able to provide a free safe retreat in a beautiful setting to those in need, both children and adults. Help them to maintain and develop this special place.
Sudbury Open Gardens: Sponsors
Travel & Leisure Group, established 1992, are delighted to sponsor the 2017 Sudbury Open Gardens by providing promotional material and general back up for the event.
With their head office in East Street, Sudbury, Travel & Leisure Group act as estate agents for timeshare properties between existing owners who want to sell and people who want to buy or rent. Our advertising can be seen on television, in-flight magazines, online, and in the national press. Our in-house conveyancing department works in conjunction with a local solicitor thus ensuring our clients are in safe hands.
We are a family-owned, financially sound company with a first class reputation. The owner, Maria Mills-Farinas, has for many years been involved in charity work, and St. Nicholas Hospice Care is the closest to our hearts.
David Munro the Fishmonger, John Coleman the Butcher, Dan Ashdown of Waters Edge Provisions, the flowers and baskets stalls, all kindly support our cause by promoting the Open Gardens event on their stalls on Sudbury Market. Our thanks to them all for their support.
