Owners Description (if available)This two bedroom lodge is well up within the complex away from the hotel with a special feeling of peace and tranquility, amongst the trees. The two bedrooms downstairs allow the spacious upstairs lounge to have a high viewpoint over the beautiful surroundings. All the utilities are of a very high standard and the lodge has had a full recent refurbishment and shown in pictures below. This lodge was purchased in the early days of the estate development by my parents who would enjoy the regular pre-Christmas visit with great enthusiasm. Our Christmas gifts would inevitable be bought from Edinburgh or in the latter days from the Loch Lomond Shores quality shops....with non of the stress of the big city but plenty of the choice, and with a fine view of the Loch and a cuppa as they browsed. This year we visited and enjoyed the experience again. I took a few pictures below of the interiors which as always have been tastefully refurbished. I somehow preferred this lodge layout with the bedrooms downstairs and the open plan large sitting room and kitchen upstairs with the view. It is a personal choice. We have spent many happy holidays her as a young family making use of all the activities on offer in the hotel from the owners arrival meeting to book trips, to a few hours off as the children enjoyed the excellent childcare facilities. It was the first time they really wanted to attend for as long as possible playing sports, making things and dressing up. A visit to the pool and leisure centre was always another highlight of the day. I would enjoy a run on the treadmill while looking over the glorious Loch at the end of the day, before the whole party enjoying a drink at the main bar before drifting home. It is necessary to hire a car for a week at Glasgow or Edinburgh if you wish to visit the sites, of which many are within an easy drive. A trip to the two main cities or perhaps Stirling with its fine castle takes up to an hour; the smaller villages on the shores of the Loch such as Luss or Tarbet are all very close. It is hard to drag oneself away though from the relaxing atmosphere that is Cameron House and the sound of the Scottish bagpipes that are always somewhere nearby! As my two boys grew, we took on occasions their pals who spread around using the beds in the main room, in addition to the two bedrooms downstairs. In fact over the years we had many local friends who would pop in and stay for a night or two in order to enjoy the excellent restaurants within the hotel. Just very happy memories. It can be rented this year in November if anybody would like to test it first of all before deciding to perhaps purchase. A picture of the lodge below and other pictures showing the quality of the interiors of the lodges at Cameron house are available on the main website www.cameronlodges.com
