Owners Description (if available)This pretty, one bed cottage is based in Bowness-on-Windermere in the Unesco World Heritage Site of the Lake District. The resort has leisure facilities, including a swimming pool and a hotel on site. The lake is a 3-4 minute walk through landscaped gardens, to catch local buses, take the boats for a scenic journey around the lake, catch the ferry or explore the area on bikes using the many cycle paths. There are many hiking trails for all ages and abilities. The train station is about 4 kilometres away. The town of Bowness has eateries, cinema, exhibitions and a theatre. The view over the lake to the mountains is breathtaking. The lake District is now a designated World Heritage Site.
