After 25 very happy years of owning our Timeshare week in early September at Chapel Stile in Cumbria (part of the Langdale Luxury Timeshare Estate) we sadly need to sell it now due to emigration to Australia.
Chapel Stile 1 is a beautiful apartment which has recently been refurnished and refurbished to a very high standard. It can sleep maximum 8 people. There is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a double bunk bedroom and one of the sofas in the lounge converts into a bed. There is on entry a gorgeous open plan fully equipped kitchen/lounge/diner which overlooks the beautiful garden and Langdale Beck and is in the same building and right next door to Wainwrights Pub. On a nice day its fab to sit in the garden and have a picnic or drinks or both. The pub does yummy food and lots of choices of drinks including local beers. They also have a quiz night through the week and there are lots of weekly activities organised by the estate details of which will be given to you on check in. If you become an owner you can apply for an Owners card which allows you 15% off anything you buy around the estate including food and drinks.
Also on entry there is the first of two bathrooms and attached to it is a Sauna. There is also a shower sink and loo. There is TV and a sound system in the Lounge and lots of games and some books.
Down the corridor to the bedrooms is bathroom number two which has a bath as well as a shower.
Next to the apartment are further facilities for the use of all the apartment owners at Chapel Stile. i.e. further shower room and toilet, changing facilities, a washer and a drying room and a snooker room.
There are two dedicated parking spaces at the rear of the property for Chapel Stile 1. The apartment is the largest in the complex and is on the ground floor.
Check in is on a Sunday at the pub where you receive complimentary tea and scones with jam and cream on arrival. This year check in date is Sunday the 8th September 2019. The apartment will all be cleaned and bedding provided as required. Also provided are washing up liquid, towels, tea towels and dishwasher tablets.
100 yards up the road in the Village is the Co-op which sells practically everything you might need. Newspapers, food, gifts and there is a cafe upstairs.
Included in the sale will be full use of the facilities on the main estate just down the road including beautiful Swimming Pool, Kiddies Pool, Jacuzzi, Steam Room, Sauna, Spa, where you can indulge in lots of lovely relaxing treatments and there are also bars and restaurants. They also have computer and internet facilities. In the apartment you can log onto the Wi-Fi system.
Langdale Valley is heaven on earth and there are lots of walks you can do from your front door so you don’t even need to drive anywhere. A lovely walk on the flat down the Langdale Valley will take you to The Old and New Dungeon Ghyll hotels and the National Trust pub Stickle Barn. If you don’t feel like walking there is a bus service there and back and if you are the right age it is free with your bus pass.
A stone’s throw away are the gorgeous villages of Grasmere and Ambleside with lots of delicious shopping and cafes and restaurants. Also within a short drive there is Coniston and Hawkshead and don’t forget Sawrey if you want to visit Beatrix Potter’s cottage.
I could go on and on about the Lakes. One of our favourite places on earth but now down to the nitty gritty. We would like £4000 for it which includes a share in the Estate. The estate was bought from Scottish and Newcastle Breweries by the Owners a long time ago so you would own a small share in the Estate. There is probably around 40 years left of the ownership but if anyone is interested I can check up on this for you. You can go onto the Langdale website to have a look at the estate to give you a better idea of what it’s like but there are photos attached to this description also
