Resort Description

Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa can be found set in 65 acres of delicately landscaped gardens overlooking Rutland Water and surrounding landscapes. Rutland Water, Western Europe's largest man-made lake is considered to be the playground of England's East Midlands offering a range of water sports including canoeing and windsurfing, nature reserves, cycle hire and tracks or even a simple walks around the lake.

The club offers a range of luxurious, fully equipped holiday cottages and accommodation, an old hunting lodge, original stables and timber framed lodges found around the ground. Timeshare available at the country club vary from one bedroom apartments to three bedroom lodges.

There is an extensive range of leisure facilities on offer including a 22 metre indoor swimming pool, spa pool, steam room and children's pool. The resort also has a gymnasium, outdoor tennis court, squash courts, bowls green, mini golf and snooker on offer amongst other activities. Timeshare owners wishing to pamper themselves will be happy to know there is a beauty shop, hair dressers and treatment available at Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa along with a fine-dining restaunt and bar. Meanwhile parents should be pleased there is child care available and a children's play area. Unfortunately since the resort is on a hill Travel and Leisure Group believe it may be unsuitable for guests with walking difficulties.

Rutland now allow you to bring your four-legged companions for a small daily fee.

Barnsdale Resort comprises a number of chalets (“units”) and small accommodation buildings which surround the spectacular and historic Barnsdale Hall. The chalets are shown in the video of the site, are constructed of wood and have a Scandinavian appearance. They are nestled amongst the trees adjoining the breathtakingly beautiful Rutland Water. The pretty and historic market towns of Uppingham, Oakham and Stamford are all nearby.

Unit 27 has one double bedroom with en-suite, one twin bedroom and a further bedroom on a level above, with two single beds. These share a separate bathroom. Studio style accommodation in the main living area is also possible, so the chalet can sleep eight and has been so used by the family. There is a large lounge/dining area and a very well-equipped kitchen. All furnishing and equipment is new or nearly new and is updated regularly. There is a private deck at the front for outside dining and leisure, with a view over the water.

The site leisure facilities are comprehensive and newly updated. New owners will receive two all-the-year-round passes to the on-site leisure facilities (pool, gym, squash etc) and which also enable a 15% discount in bar and restaurant. This will be of special interest and value to those living locally.
