Fractional ownership is a non-traditional type of timeshare ownership. Instead of owning a week or two at your home resort, you’ll own a slice of the property itself. Every ownership is deeded to a specific apartment at a dedicated resort and is allocated a percentage of ownership, which, once sold, you will receive. Your fractional points allocation affords you greater flexibility, which means much more control over your holidays every year. You’ll no longer be tied in to the same holiday year in, year out. At the end of your leasehold, the property is sold and you receive a share of the profits! With Ramada Residence, you’re assigned a number of fractional points that you can use at a number of different resorts in their portfolio.

There is no need to use an exchange company like Interval International, RCI or 7Across as your Ramada Residence Fractional Ownership allows you to use a variety of resorts within the extensive Ramada Residence portfolio. Weve had some truly wonderful holidays through the 30 + years of our timeshare ownership. Sadly we’re now at the stage of life when health and mobility issues mean it’s time for a different type of holiday so we are looking to sell our Ramada Residence Fractional Ownership (formerly Club la Costa).

We originally owned a fixed week but other holiday opportunities opened up when we joined Club La Costa and converted to the point system and we’ve always been impressed by the high standard of accommodation, landscaping, restaurants and activities at all their resorts. We’ve really appreciated having the flexibility to use fewer points for a small unit when travelling as a couple or opting for more bathrooms and bedrooms when others joined us, and getting better value from our points by choosing shoulder season when popular destinations are less crowded. Through Club la Costa we’ve been to South Africa where we’ll always remember watching our son ride on an ostrich, and stopping the car in Kruger Park while a large herd of elephants surrounded us crossing the road. We have great memories and photos galore from our submarine ride in Lanzarote, cable car ride to the top of Mount Teide and whale watching boat trip in Tenerife, as well as hiking in Austria, Scotland and the Lake District in the UK, and swimming in Malta but we weren’t quick enough to get a photo when the baboon on Mount Gibraltar stole a box of biscuits out of our young son’s hand!

Club la Costa has also opened up many different destinations in Europe and the UK since we can use our points towards hotels for wonderful city breaks and short trips. And by exchanging through Interval International and RCI exchange companies we’ve had fabulous holidays including Banff Alberta and the scenic Rocky Mountains, the Dolomite Mountains in northern Italy and the sunny and varied activities of Mallorca. We were spoiled for choice when we stayed near Orlando Florida and we have so many memories of Disneyworld, the Epcot Centre and Universal Studios, along with beautiful beaches, nature parks and shopping. We also enjoyed some fabulous winter sunshine at a beautiful resort in Phoenix Arizona, and will never forget the incredible sunset over the Grand Canyon. There are many more amazing exchange destinations available worldwide through Interval International and RCI exchange companies.

We hope the new owners will have as many incredible holidays as we’ve had!
