Resort Description
Brockwood Hall is just a few miles from the coast in the south of the beautiful Lake District. It is on the edge of the National Park, giving access to some ofthe country's most spectacular lakes and mountain scenery. The timeshare resort sits in the peaceful surroundings of mature woodland close to Black Coombe Fell. Take a ramble through the woodland to our active badger set, from which Brockwood takes its name. Each season has something different to offer, as you will see the flora and fauna change with each one. The lively Lake District venues are only a short drive away.

After 10 years of canal boat timeshare ownership, we converted the share to a week at Brockwood Hall. We were very lucky to have found accommodation sleeping 6 people in 3 bedrooms, one double and two twins, without the need for anyone to sleep in the living room. Our week 31 is either the first week of August or the week spanning the end of July and the beginning of August, therefore always in the summer school holidays. The family has been delighted with our lodge but, after 15 years, our children and grandchildren have grown up and we no longer need to sleep so many.
Our Windermere-type lodge (no.23, Coniston) has a family bathroom with a full-size bath, the master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a shower cubicle and we have a hot tub on the veranda. There is a second dining table and chairs on the veranda, for al fresco dining. (The veranda has been extended and a hot tub installed since my picture of the lodge was taken back in 2009.) Conveniently, it is possible to park two cars in front of the lodge, as the picture shows.
A large flat screen TV in the living room is complemented by smaller flat screen TV sets in two of the three bedrooms. The kitchen is well equipped, with a full-size oven and hob, a microwave oven, a fridge, a separate freezer, a dishwasher and other appliances, as detailed here.
