Resort Description

If a picturesque setting and breathtaking views are what you're looking for, timeshare at Hilton Craigendarroch may be perfect for you. Overlooking Cairngorm National Park and close to the village of Ballater, Scotland, this elegant country resort is the perfect highland escape. Lodges and apartments are stylishly appointed and furnished, including all amenities necessary to promote ease of stay and total relaxation. On site leisure facilities include tennis courts, swimming pools, a game room, and a study bar where you can pick up a book or two to take back to your cosy suite and while away the hours. Go hiking or biking around the many natural trails close by, or lose yourself in the woods and forestry.

If you don't mind driving, pop down to Balmoral to explore - if the Queen is in residence, you may even receive a wave as she passes you by! You can also go skiing at The Lecht, or try your hand at horse riding and quad biking, both of which can be found a short drive away. With some of the best scenery in Scotland, Hilton Craigendarroch is a wonderful introduction to the highlands, and Travel and Leisure Group highly recommends considering it for your next timeshare investment.

Glentanar type lodge: sleeps 6, 2 ensuite bathrooms and one shower/sauna room, on southern edge of Resort, with country views from south facing first floor balcony, where lunch in the sun is possible and, from the kitchen, a view to the tennis court, keeping an eye on the children. The lodge has easy access to the Resort facilities. Walk along the Dee, beside the golf course, in snow or shine and sometimes both, to Ballater. This is a small gem in spring, with a unique array of Royal Warranted shops, and cafes, including the Old Station. Nearby is wonderful countryside, for any level and length of walking, including Craigendarroch hill itself. A short drive takes one to Loch Muick, on the Balmoral Estate, so beautiful that it was the walk there which sealed our decision to buy a time share here in 1990, walking there every holiday since. Near Loch Muick is Lochnagar for more challenging walks. Castles, stately homes, and historic towns such as Braemar and Huntley and Aberdeen, provide other trips of great interest, through this special countryside. Selling is the end of an era for us.
