This Gold Crown RCI resort comes in a cluster of stone cottages built in the nineteenth century is just a stone's throw from the shores or Loch Melfort, and feature fully fitted farmhouse kitchens. If visiting in winter, you'll also be able to benefit from building a cosy log fire in your cottage and snuggling up on the sofa for a warm, soul-restoring evening by the flames. The cottages are arranged in two groups: one situated within the inner village, and the other forming a crescent within the original walls of the old estate.

Wake up each morning to an abundance of fresh country air and enjoy the view from your private patio facing the immaculately landscaped gardens. Take a dip in the fully supervised indoor pool or have a relaxing spa treatment - though don't forget to book in advance! Enjoy evening meals in the Shower of Herring restaurant, or simply make use of your kitchen facilities for a hearty, home-cooked meal. Local facilities include horseback riding, boat trips, fishing, and sight-seeing—and the sights are certainly breathtaking! This Gold Crown RCI resort on the shores of Loch Melfort is composed of a cluster of nineteenth century stone buildings tastefully converted to luxury cottages.

Resort facilities
Indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, sauna, tennis court, children’s play area, games room with table-tennis etc, bar/ bistro, laundry facilities and WiFi. Surrounded by easy access to beautiful walks suitable for all ages and abilities. Village shop and pub nearby. Glasgow Airport 160Km, Edinburgh Airport 210km.The beautiful town of Oban with lovely shops and restaurants is only 30 minutes drive away.

Old Haybarn – week 52 (commencing on 29th December each year) - Hogmanay
For almost 40 years we have enjoyed celebrating Hogmanay (New Year in Scotland) with friends and family in the Old Haybarn. Sadly the years have caught up with us and, although the week which includes Hogmanay can be easily rented, we have decided that the time has come for us to sell.
Old Haybarn has 3 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin and 1 bunk) and two bathrooms. A double sofa bed in the upstairs sitting room means that it can comfortably accommodate 8 people. The property is heated throughout by electric radiators.
This spacious cottage has an excellent layout. The ground floor has an open plan, fully equipped kitchen (including large fridge/freezer and dishwasher)/ dining area, 2 bedrooms and a shower room/wc.
Upstairs there is a large sitting room (with lovely views over Melfort Village and beyond), a double bedroom and a bathroom (shower, bath and w/c). The sitting room has a wood burning stove making it very cosy when the weather turns cold.
Old Haybarn is very well equipped and maintained to a high standard. It is near the tennis court, swimming pool, children’s play area, bistro and club house.
