Owners Description (if available)

A few words on our Karma Gold Membership. Reason for selling is purely medical, since purchasing one of us has had a travel limiting injury so we do not now expect to utilise to the full extent which we had planned to over the coming years.

We have stayed at Karma Cay Tre a 22 room unit in Hoi An in Vietnam. We loved the week had there, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms were spacious and clean and airy. It was a walk or cheap taxi into Hoi An itself, but they also had bikes which were on a first come first served basis, but we always seemed to be able to use and cycling certainly was a brilliant way to see everything. There is a pool and small bar which is lovely sitting around in the evening watching the river flow past at the end of the grounds. Food was good as well although we mainly ate out in Hoi An or surrounding area. We arranged an “Eco tour” from here which included a walk around local “allotments” and markets to select ingredients for a cookery school which would top of the end of the day tour. It was most enjoyable, taking in markets, river boat trip and coracle transfer to the cookery school. We also attempted to catch our own fish, but don’t worry they had some ready if we weren’t successful. We had certainly planned to return and do more of a tour of that region, but doubt now we will.

Ubud Karma retreat was used by our daughter this year, she said it was lovely, calming place with good food and tranquility. a little off the main area on the banks of a river. Ubud is a craft centre which is good to wander around. You can also do the white water rafting from Ubud, which we have also done taking you through the hidden watercourse.

At Jimbaran the rooms are light and airy and large and a short stroll to the beach where at sunset you can choose from the many beachside restaurants.

Recently Karma has introduced places closer to hand in Europe, Carcassonne, which is a fantastic place to visit if you have not already been, plus other places in Normandy and South of France, Italy and Greece and of course there is a place in Bavaria which looks great for summer and winter.

We also utilised the RCI connection and booked hotels in the UK, for example at the MacDonalds resort in Lymington, plus a few other places for short weekend breaks, paying less than you could find on booking.com.

You can carry over your points to following years, to a max of 3 years, you can borrow from a future year if you want a longer holiday or take people with you and require more points but you may need to pay a % of the future years maintenance charge for that.

Photos are of Karma Cay Tre in Vietnam.
